Antonia's food provides a way to enter her mind. Her food elicits a fascination that grew from moving out of the suburban areas of Long Island and into the multicultural landscape that is Los Angeles. The belief of the fact that cavatelli and carnitas could coexist seamlessly on the same menu reveals a taste that continues to evolve. What remains, however, with her food is an unifying view of the future while achingly recollecting the past. Scopa Italian Roots is a restaurant that was founded by Lofaso in 2013. She opened it as a result of her Italian-American background. Lofaso's interpretation of classic Italian cuisine is one of Los Angeles's most popular restaurants. Lofaso is consistently highly acclaimed by patrons of Scopa's for its food, which is authentic and unmistakably enjoyable. Lofaso was a student of legendary chefs and learned their sophisticated methods but she was not afraid of taking risks that were too high to be true to her own instincts. After a brief period, Lofaso rose to the highest level in Wolfgang Puck's Spago. Then she collaborated with a variety of famous people as she transformed various Los Angeles restaurants. Lofaso joined forces along with Sal Aurora to create Black Market Liquor Bar which was the first bar to open in Studio City. The home of Lofaso was located within Black Market Liquor Bar and her business alliances. Lofaso was able to finally experience the freedom of expression she had longed for. Black Market has no one idea in its head and it is that way. The first course could be chip dill, followed by shishitos peppers. Then comes an Korean wings and then the meatballs course. Antonia's bold flavors are the base of these bold combination. Lofaso assesses the success she has had all through her career on the basis of her ability to understand her audience and be authentic to who she is. She has been a part of a variety of television shows including Top Chef Chicago, Top Chef: All Stars and Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child on The Food Network and ABC's Real O'neals. Her talents have continued to be showcased as a judge on the CNBC's Restaurant Startup. Lofaso joined forces in partnership with Penguin Publishing to produce The Busy Mom's Cookbook - 100 Recipes of quick, Delicious, Home Cooked Meals. The book, she discusses her experience as a mother, and also a student at the French Culinary Institute. Lofaso claims that the motivation for her achievements originates from her kitchen.
