Catherine Ford is a British actress, born in Bloomsbury. After her father left the household, the actress was grew to maturity by her mother, godparents, and grandmother. As a young girl, she was diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive disorder. She also experienced anxiety because of the word"association. Ford began performing in her teens and became part of the National Youth Theatre. After being admitted at the Sylvia Young Theatre School for a short time, Ford decided that it was not the right location for her. Ford applied instead for admission to the Central School of Speech and Drama and eventually secured an interview on her fourth attempt. By the moment she was done with school, Ford already went by "Catherine Tate". Tate was seen in television programs including The Bill, Men Behaving Badly and London's Burning in the Nineties. Tate was also a regular performer as a theatre actor and was eventually a part of the Royal Shakespeare Company during its season 2000-2001. But Tate quickly began gaining recognition for her stand-up comedic performances and added stand-up comedy to her repertoire in 1996.
